I was 20 years old during the 1995 bombing of Zagreb. I was injured by a submunition on the street in the centre of city while going to the bank during working hours. I reported extensive injuries to the right side of my body.
Cluster munitions were designed for military purposes but their effects are much bigger. Civilians are dying a long time after the war has come to an end. I don’t see any military purpose in that, and that is why cluster munitions should be banned forever.
Now, I am 34 years old. I live in Zagreb and work as a web administrator for a publishing house. I participated in the Zagreb workshop on cluster munitions in October 2008 and will join the Ban Advocates for the first time in Oslo in December 2008.
