Central Asia is a region that is heavily affected by mines/explosive remnants of war (ERW), and as such counts many related casualties. Given the call to develop national disability action plans that are inclusive of the needs of mines/ERW victims as per the Cartagena and the Vientiane Action Plans, Handicap International organized a workshop on victim assistance for government representatives, civil society, including survivors and disability advocates, as well as national and international service providers from Afghanistan, Azerbaidjan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Tajikistan.
